UKAS Accredited Certification ISO 27001 Information Security Management

Brief

WIME are a micro sized company consisting of 3 staff and 2 Directors who supply the UK Insurance claims market with medical examinations of policyholders who are claiming against a number of differing policy criteria. 

Based in Kings Langley, Hertfordshire but utilising Consultant medical specialists across the country it was felt by our main client base that we should obtain an ISO27001 accreditation to confirm we were following best industry practice in handling and transferring patients sensitive information.

The process was supported by both of the WIME Directors and all staff were very much involved with the process from start to finish.  The time we had to achieve the plan was of concern, but we felt that an accreditation within 6 months was achievable.  We retained two consultants to assist us and our MSP in the process and we were accredited by UKAS through QECUK in July 2024.

The staff at QECUK were supportive in all aspects of the challenge we had set ourselves and the auditor was very well suited to a company of our size as he “got it” very quickly in terms of what we were doing and what we had to do to achieve the accreditation.

Thankfully from implementation of the plan in late December 2023 to accreditation in early July 2024 we achieved our goal and satisfied our client base that we were indeed handling and transferring their policyholder’s data according to best practice.

I would rate our auditor and QECUK as a 5-star UKAS accredited certification company and would be happy to recommend their services to companies large and small.
